Devin Duvernay, WR, Texas
Another position the Cowboys will need to address at some point is the wide receiver spot. Following the loss of Randall Cobb in free agency, they could use a player that can operate effectively in the slot alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup.
It was an impressive 2019 campaign from Duvernay that enabled him to further showcase his potential to NFL scouts. For reference, he managed to total 106 receptions, 1,386 receiving yards, and 9 touchdowns in 13 appearances last season.
Duvernay measures in at 5-feet, 10 inches and weighs 200 pounds with 30 5/8âł arms and 9 1/2âł hands. At the NFL Scouting Combine, he recorded a 4.39 40-yard dash, a 7.13 three-cone drill, a 4.2 20-yard shuttle, a 35.5âł vertical jump, and a 123.0âł broad jump.
Itâs clear that Duvernay needs fine-tuning in his route-running before he can be a legitimately strong contributor at the NFL level. The Cowboys could afford him the opportunity to capitalize on his potential while still being able to develop his skill-set.
