3 late free agency targets the 49ers should pursue

The San Francisco 49ers will seek to make another run at a Super Bowl appearance in 2020. There is still potential to add talent to its roster using a late free agency signing to maximize their chances of achieving such a goal.

It was a busy offseason for the 49ers that required plenty of savvy moves to address some holes. A prime example was trading for Pro Bowl tackle Trent Williams after Joe Staley announced his retirement from the NFL.

Using the 2020 NFL Draft, San Francisco managed to fill the voids left behind by the departure of Emmanuel Sanders and the decision to trade DeForest Buckner. This was done by drafting Brandon Aiyuk and Javon Kinlaw in the first round.

Based on the current landscape of the 49ers’ roster, it has over $15.7 million in salary cap space to work with. That is enough to add another impactful veteran contributor to bolster a less than stellar component of the depth chart prior to the start of the 2020 season.

With that being said, here are three late free agency targets the San Francisco 49ers should pursue.
