3 logical trade targets for the Green Bay Packers ahead of the deadline

The Green Bay Packers have been on an absolute tear to begin the season. While the strong start is a welcome sign, the Packers could still use some depth at many positions.

Green Bay did not sign or draft any receivers this offseason. With early injuries to both Davante Adams and Allen Lazard, the need for another wideout is even more apparent. Getting a wide receiver before the trade deadline would be smart, and there are a few who could be available.

Although the Packers offense has been carrying them, the defense has struggled to live up to expectations. Green Bay will be facing some tough defenses later on in the year. Those defensive shortcomings may end up costing them against stout defenses like the 49ers or the Bears. Adding a decent veteran linebacker could help shape this defense.

Green Bay is a very good team. They may have a Super Bowl shot without making any huge trades. However, injuries happen and depth is very important. Last season we saw the offense was very different without Davante Adams. Adding a little bit of star power could defiantly help the Packers on their quest for the Lombardi.

Let’s take a look at three players the Green Bay Packers should target ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline.
