What To Expect From Xavier Rhodes In 2020
The Colts are excited to see what version of Rhodes they get. He may not bounce back with a huge season, but he has the talent to be something special. Chris Ballard has been a top-notch general manager and most of his moves have paid off, which gives the Colts confidence in Rhodes.
Here are a few things that should be expected from Rhodes this season.
Plays In All 16 Games
First up, the Colts are going to get a healthy version of Rhodes. He played in 15 games last season and 14 the year before. Those numbers aren’t bad, but Rhodes will stay completely healthy and will play all 16 games in 2020.
Racks Up At Least Three Interceptions
Secondly, the Colts are hoping to see Rhodes figure things out from a playmaking perspective. Just a few short years ago, Rhodes was one of the most feared corners in the game. In recent years, he has failed to force turnovers, but that will change in 2020 with at least three interceptions.
Over 13 Defended Passes
Rhodes has made his career due to his ability to cover opposing wideouts and stick to them like glue. Not only was he a feared playmaker, he was also elite at breaking passes up. After recording just six defended passes last season, Rhodes will more than double that this season with over 13 defended passes in his first year with the Colts.
