3 offensive tackles the Chargers should still target this offseason

Tristan Wirfs, Jets, NFL Draft

Tristan Wirfs

Again, this is a deep draft class of offensive tackles, with there being a chance that at least four or five of them are taken in the first round. As previously mentioned, Wills is a surefire prospect that should be on Los Angeles’ radar.

But if they want to go in another direction, Tristan Wirfs out of Iowa would be a perfect selection. Despite not being as refined as Wills, Wirfs may have a higher ceiling in the NFL.

When watching Wirfs, it is evident that there are some kinks that he needs to work out in his game. However, his sheer athleticism and power make him an intriguing prospect.

For some odd reason, some scouts believe that Wirfs would be best making the move to guard in the NFL. On the contrary, he should be inserted at one of the tackle positions. At the least, the Chargers can move Bulaga to left tackle if Wirfs is better suited on the right side.
