3 offensive targets for the Chiefs at No. 32 in the 2020 NFL Draft

Besides the cornerback position, the Chiefs could benefit from adding an interior offensive lineman in this year’s draft. Currently, Andrew Wylie, Austin Reiter, and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif man the interior positions on Kansas City’s offensive line.

Just like every other position, the Chiefs will consider upgrading the offensive line for next season. If he’s still on the board at No. 32, Cesar Ruiz could be a steal for Kansas City in the first round.

At Michigan, Ruiz spent most of his time starting at center, but he’s capable of playing the guard position too. The junior interior lineman is extremely mobile for his size and can pack a punch when out in space.

Even though Mahomes can carry the offense with his arm, the Chiefs could choose to insert a more physical rushing attack in 2020. In that case, Kansas City would have a hard time finding a more dominant interior lineman than Ruiz.
