When watching the Chiefs over the past two seasons, it is apparent that they could use a more effective running game. This past season, Kansas City boasted the 23rd ranked rushing offense in the NFL.

Throughout the season, the Chiefs featured Damien Williams, LeSean McCoy, Darrel Williams, and Darwin Thompson in their backfield. As good as Damien was in the postseason, Kansas City could still use an upgrade at running back.

Luckily for them, in this year’s draft, there are a few surefire running back options available. Among them, Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin would be a home-run addition to the Chiefs offense.

In his three seasons at Wisconsin, Taylor rushed for 6,174 yards and 50 touchdowns. Plus, he flashed an ability to be a receiving threat in 2019, catching 26 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns. Adding Taylor to the Chiefs offense would instantly give them a running back that excels running between the tackles.
