Curtis Weaver, EDGE, Boise State

Next up, the Jets need to take a long look at improving their pass rush with this pick. Thankfully, there are quite a few quality pass rushing prospects throughout the first few rounds of this draft class. One name that comes to mind with this pick is Boise State star Curtis Weaver.

Weaver had a huge season with the Broncos in 2019, racking up 52 total tackles to go along with 13.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and three defended passes. He is strong and athletic and would give the Jets a formidable young presence to develop on the edge.

New York struggled defensively in 2019. Part of that had to do with the injuries that linebacker C.J. Mosley struggled with. Adding Weaver to the equation would be a plus for the Jets moving forward.
