Blake Martinez, Free Agent

Green Bay is expected to allow Blake Martinez to walk in free agency this offseason. Rumors have been swirling that the Packers want more athleticism at linebacker, which could lead to the departure of their leading tackler.

The Rams would be wise to strongly look into the option of signing Martinez. He put together a huge season in 2019 for Green Bay, racking up 155 total tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and two defended passes. Those numbers show why Los Angeles should pursue him.

Martinez would be an immediate upgrade in the middle of the L.A. defense. He may not have top-notch athleticism, but he is a sure tackler and an excellent leader.
