Arguably the most important question the Cardinals have to answer this season is what they are going to along the offensive line. More specifically, the interior offensive line needs to be shored up.
In a little over a month when free agency kicks off, A.Q. Shipley is slated to become a free agent for the Cardinals. Shipley has started in 48 straight games for Arizona at center.
However, with Shipley turning 34-years-old this summer, the Cardinals need to find his replacement soon. The 2020 NFL Draft is scarce in terms of interior offensive linemen.
Amidst the free agency options, Connor McGovern would be a fantastic addition for Arizona. McGovern made the move from guard to center in 2019 with the Denver Broncos and performed well. Giving Murray a reliable center is key to the Cardinals’ success moving forward.
