A.J. Epenesa, Jets, NFL Draft

A.J. Epenesa, Iowa Hawkeyes

Finally, there is one option in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft that could make a lot of sense for the New York Jets. They will be on the clock with the No. 11 overall pick. It may be a bit of a reach, but Iowa standout A.J. Epenesa would be an intriguing fit.

Epenesa stuffed the stat sheet for the Hawkeyes in 2019 with 49 total tackles, 11.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and three defended passes.

This move may be the best one the Jets could make. Epenesa would be able to make an immediate impact, provide some young talent, and also play on a cheap contract. New York spent a lot of money last offseason. Bringing in a starter on a rookie deal is always a plus.

New York has to make a move at edge rusher and these three guys would all make sense. It will be an entertaining offseason for the Jets, to say the least.
