If the Bears opt to go through the draft for a safety, they could consider taking one in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. After all, Chicago won’t make their first selection until the 43rd overall pick.

Aside from the No. 43 pick, the Bears also hold the 50th overall pick in the second round. Provided that, Chicago would have two chances to draft the safety that they are fans of.

With Grant Delpit and Xavier McKinney being off of the board already, Kyle Dugger becomes an intriguing option in the draft. Despite going to a small college like Lenoir-Rhyne, Dugger is a talented safety that NFL teams are going to grow fond of.

During his collegiate career, Dugger proved that he can be a versatile safety in due time and excels at making plays on the ball. If the Bears are willing to be patient for a safety to develop, then Dugger is an optimal addition
