3 perfect targets for the Chargers with the No. 37 pick in the NFL Draft

Jonathan Taylor, Running Back, Wisconsin

Finally, the Chargers could very well be in the market for a running back in the NFL Draft. With Melvin Gordon likely on his way out the door, they need to bring in a power back.

Austin Ekeler showed great potential when Gordon was holding out. He absolutely could end up being the starter. However, the kind of talent that Jonathan Taylor has would look great in the Chargers’ backfield.

In 2019 with the Badgers, Taylor ended up carrying the football 320 times for 2,003 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for 252 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers alone show why the Chargers should think about taking him at No. 37 if he’s still available.
