3 perfect targets for the Vikings at No. 58 in the NFL Draft

The Minnesota Vikings are loaded with draft capital and will be looking to make valuable additions to their team. Much of the attention has been placed on the first round given that they have multiple selections, but the No. 58 pick can provide a boost as well.

The second round of the 2019 NFL Draft was kind to the Vikings as it netted them Irv Smith Jr. with the 50th pick. Despite playing behind Kyle Rudolph, he totaled 36 receptions and 311 yards and two touchdowns. Making another impactful addition of this kind will be crucial.

There was a lot of change that occurred for the Vikings throughout different parts of their roster. It certainly won’t be a simple process to overcome some of the departures they lost at key spots between trading Stefon Diggs and significant turnover on defense.

Coming off an appearance in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the Vikings will need to capitalize on having 10 picks in the NFL Draft to help solidify their re-tooling efforts. Expecting immediate impact out of many of those picks is unreasonable though, which makes the early rounds that much more important.

With that being said, there are three perfect targets for the Vikings with the No. 58 selection in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.
