Last month, Howie Roseman — the GM of the Eagles — discussed the state of Philadelphia’s wide receiver room. Within the conference call with the media, Roseman lobbied for Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.

Regardless of Roseman’s affinity for the team’s current group, it’s evident that the Eagles need to give Carson Wentz more weapons in the offense. Whether that means they double-dip for receivers in the first and second round, or wait until later rounds, they need to select a receiver at some point.

In the event that the Eagles select a receiver in the second round, K.J. Hamler is a name to keep an eye on. Hamler, a local product from Penn State, is a vertical threat that can give Philadelphia a much-needed boost in the passing game. His quickness and ability to create after the catch are traits that make him a prime candidate to join the Eagles.
