3. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling
The Packers have been hoping for someone to emerge as a viable No. 2 wide receiver, and despite some good moments, Valdes-Scantling has fallen short. His catch rate was less than 50 percent last year (26 catches on 56 targets), and 232 of his 456 yards came over two games with his only touchdowns of the season in those same two games.
As the Packers look to bolster their wide receiver group, Valdez-Scantling is not going to be guaranteed anything through offseason work and into training camp. If, or when, it comes down to a battle for a spot on the 53-man roster, the former fifth-round pick is almost sure to pull a short straw when it’s all said and done.
