Jon Gruden and the Las Vegas Raiders are beginning a new era of football. Leaving Oakland is an incredibly heartbreaking situation, but the excitement of a fresh start is in the air. Add in the fact that the franchise showed signs of progression and development last season and the sky is the limit.
Last season, the Raiders finished the year with a 7-9 record and were in the playoff race until the last week of the season. Obviously, they weren’t able to get into the playoffs, but they were competitive all season long.
Now, Mike Mayock’s job is to bring in the necessary talent to take the next step. Las Vegas has to figure out how to make the leap into the playoffs. If they can add a couple of pieces, they should be able to make that leap either in 2020 or 2021.
It will be interesting to see what kind of moves the Raiders look to make. Mayock is usually great in the NFL Draft and free agency is always an avenue to improve. However, Las Vegas should explore the trade market as well.
Let’s take a look at three potential trade targets the Raiders could take a look at this offseason.
If one more person says something about Carr needing anything other weapons the name calling is going to start!
So take a shot on an aging DB with declining numbers? Nonsense! C’moan man! High, drunk or both to suggest this man.
And do what in the draft? We nees a WR1 to pair with TW and HR. The draft is loaded WRs this year. Why give a late rounder when you can do the same by taking a shot on draft day?
This is the worst article I have ever seen. So you think we should take a worse QB, an aging cb who looked terrible last yr and a scrub wr who might compete to be our wr4? Why????
Totally agree, all three of these ideas are terrible.
