3 players the Pittsburgh Steelers should move on from this offseason

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Wide Receiver, Johnny Holton

The Steelers have one of the best young receiving corps in the entire NFL. With JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Washington and Diontae Johnson all just 23-years-old, they could use a solid veteran presence to help with their development.

At 28-years-old and with four professional seasons under his belt, wideout Johnny Holton may be a bit of a veteran, but his track record isn’t very eye popping and he didn’t accomplish much as a Steeler last season.

Holton totaled just three receptions for 21 yards, with the majority of his playing time coming on special teams.

Releasing Holton will free up a spot for the Steelers to go out and find a solid veteran for their wideout group.
