3 players the Saints should move on from this offseason

2. Eli Apple

Over the years, the Saints have been attempting to find a cornerback duo that rivals that of Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter. At the least, New Orleans has an All-Pro caliber corner in Marshon Lattimore.

On the other side of the field, Eli Apple has been manning the other cornerback spot for the Saints. The former first-round pick of the New York Giants has shown flashes of being a full-time starter in the NFL.

However, Apple still has too many inconsistencies to trust him with a long-term contract. The Saints would like to keep Janoris Jenkins and they could possibly re-sign P.J. Williams to a non-expensive deal.

Additionally, Apple could command decent money from a team desperate for cornerback help. Depending on the price, the Saints are better off letting Apple walk in free agency.
