1. Teddy Bridgewater

As mentioned above, the entire offseason for the Saints is reliant upon the decision from Brees. If he chooses to return for his 20th season, then Teddy Bridgewater is as good as gone.

Last offseason, New Orleans was able to somehow re-sign Bridgewater to a one-year, $7.25 million deal. Just a year later, it’s highly unlikely that the Saints will get a discount on Bridgewater again.

There are quite a few teams that are in the market for a quarterback and Bridgewater is likely on their radars. Due to the contract he’ll command in free agency, the Saints have to move on from him this offseason.

In the event that Bridgewater leaves, the Saints would likely attempt to retain Taysom Hill. Even though Hill has attempted only 13 passes in his career, Sean Payton thinks highly of Hill and believes he can be a franchise quarterback.
