3 players who must take the next step for the Denver Broncos this offseason

The Denver Broncos suffered through a disappointing start to the 2019 NFL season. While the start was brutal, the Broncos were able to give the fans reason for optimism after turning to rookie quarterback Drew Lock. In the five games that Lock played, Denver won four of them.

Now, there are questions about how John Elway and the Broncos can get back into playoff contention. Just a few short years ago, Denver was one of the top contenders in the NFL.

Quite frankly, the Broncos will need to add more talent to the roster. While that is the case for every team that wants to get better, the franchise also has quite a few young players who need to improve and take the next step. There are three players in particular who will need to take the next step.

Elway likely isn’t going to go out and spend huge money this offseason. He is comfortable with what he saw from Lock at quarterback and the defense has a ton of playmakers as well. Denver also has rising talents on the offensive side of the football.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at three players who must take the next step for the Broncos this offseason.
