3 players who must take the next step for the Denver Broncos this offseason

Michael Madrid-USA TODAY Sports

Noah Fant, Tight End

Denver selected tight end Noah Fans with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. It was a move that many thought would end up being a steal. While Fant struggled with inconsistency at times in his rookie season, there were plenty of positives to take away.

When everything was said and done, Fant caught 40 passes for 562 yards and three touchdowns. His wide receiver like speed was obvious and his impact on the game is apparent. Denver has something special in Fant.

In order for the offense to take the next step, however, the Broncos need potential to turn into production. Fant needs to put up much bigger numbers in 2020. If he is able to take the next step, Lock’s job is going to get much easier.
