3 players who must take the next step for the Denver Broncos this offseason

Duke Dawson Jr., Cornerback

Finally, the Broncos need a cornerback to step up next season with the likely departure of Chris Harris Jr. Duke Dawson Jr. has the potential to become a very good player, but hard work needs to be put in this offseason.

In 2019, Dawson did not have a very big role on the Denver defense. He played in 14 games, but only recorded 19 total tackles and two defended passes. Denver will need him to take a big leap forward in 2020.

Dawson may not end up becoming a legitimate starter for the Broncos, but there is reason for optimism. Denver could end up targeting another corner in free agency or the NFL Draft, but Dawson taking a step forward would help fix the problem.
