Offensive tackle
Prior to the 2019 season, the Dolphins chose to trade Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills to the Houston Texans for two first-round picks and a second-round pick essentially. While it was an irrefutable offer that Miami couldn’t pass up, it’s time for them to put those acquired picks to good use.
Entering the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dolphins possess three first-round picks. Unless Miami trades up during the draft — surrendering one of their first-round picks — then they should absolutely take one of the incoming offensive tackles in the first round.
Within the Tunsil trade, the Dolphins did land Julie’n Davenport from the Texans. However, Davenport struggled in his first season with Miami, allowing six sacks on 534 offensive snaps.
The Dolphins have done a decent job thus far strengthening the offensive line, signing Flowers and Ted Karras. With Miami likely taking their quarterback of the future in the draft, they need to make sure they have a much-improved offensive line.
