3 positions the Dolphins still need to address this offseason

Quarterback

The Dolphins began the 2019 season with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen under center, with Fitzpatrick getting the nod as the veteran. Despite Rosen getting a few games to prove himself, it was Fitzpatrick that impressed in his first season in Miami.

Fitzpatrick, a journeyman quarterback for his entire career, was able to lead the Dolphins to five wins in 2019 — arguably five more wins than people thought they would get. While Miami exceeded expectations, the veteran signal-caller threw for 3,529 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

Following his decent campaign in 2019, the Dolphins are electing to keep him on the roster for next season. At the same time, Miami should understand that they don’t have their future franchise quarterback on the roster yet.

Fortunately for the Dolphins, they have an ample amount of draft capital to make sure they select a quarterback early in the draft. Regardless of whether or not they trade up to select one of the marquee quarterback prospects, Miami needs to draft the quarterback of their future.
