Finally, the best option for the Panthers would be keeping one of their own free agents. Gerald McCoy will be sought after by quite a few teams, but he would likely be open to a return to Carolina if they are willing to offer him the right price.

McCoy has been one of the league’s elite defensive tackles since coming into the league. His numbers were a bit down in 2019, but he still makes a major impact. When everything was said and done, McCoy ended the season with 37 tackles, five sacks, and two defended passes.

The Panthers should do everything they can to re-sign McCoy. He fits their system and brings the experience and leadership that the team will need without Kuechly.
