3 potential landing landing spots for free agent TE Delanie Walker

Green Bay Packers

There was a lot of optimism regarding the idea of the Green Bay Packers making a run for Austin Hooper ahead of free agency. That didn’t end up panning out as he quickly chose to sign with the Cleveland Browns on a four-year, $44 million contract.

Beyond just missing out on Hooper, the Packers lost Jimmy Graham to the Chicago Bears. It shouldn’t be too big of a loss for Green Bay considering how his two seasons with the team were genuinely underwhelming.

The Packers do have Jace Sternberger, Mercedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan, and Evan Baylis as their current on-roster tight ends. Having someone like Delanie Walker could add more of a veteran presence while competing for consistent playing time in 2020.
