3 potential landing spots for free agent CB Bashaud Breeland

Dallas Cowboys

After losing Byron Jones to the Miami Dolphins in free agency, it’s important for the Dallas Cowboys to find another veteran cornerback. Adding a player like Bashaud Breeland at this spot to line up opposite of Chidobe Awuzie would be in the team’s best interest for the 2020 season.

It’s commonly projected that the Cowboys will select a corner in the upcoming NFL Draft, whether at No. 17 or later. However, the Atlanta Falcons at No. 16 could end up selecting the second rated cornerback prospect in the class right before Dallas is on the clock.

There is a real need to factor in for depth at cornerback. It’s difficult for a team to overcome losing one of its top players at this spot without adequately preparing for the possibility. Only drafting a cornerback could leave the Cowboys a bit vulnerable in this regard.
