3 reasons A.J. Green should sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers

David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

1. The Steelers’ Offense Would Immediately Be Elite

Finally, coupling a bit off of point number one, Green would immediately make the Steelers’ offense great again. See what we did there? On a more serious note, he absolutely would change everything in Pittsburgh.

Ben Roethlisberger is still a capable starting quarterback, while James Conner is a lethal threat on the ground. Green would be joining a wide receiving corps of Smith-Schuster, Diontae Johnson, and James Washington. The four receivers would make up one of the best group of weapons in the NFL.

Granted, Green may have more attractive options elsewhere, but the Steelers definitely make sense. Not only would he be joining a team that would have the opportunity to compete for a playoff spot, his presence would be what powers that improvement. Being a pivotal piece of a contender would likely be attractive to Green.
