Smith makes the Cowboys defensive line elite

After losing their sack leader from last season in Robert Quinn, adding another pass rusher to help mitigate the loss was definitely something most fans expected.

Randy Gregory is applying for reinstatement at the moment, so if he’s allowed to suit up again he’ll surely help as well. But, Smith is just a different animal when it comes to pass rushing.

The pairing of Smith and Demarcus Lawrence, along with defensive tackles Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe manning the interior, this Cowboys defensive line has the potential to be the best unit in the league.

Each of these four players have Pro Bowl pedigree, and McCoy and Smith have both been All Pros in the past.

Only time will tell if this unit can reach its full potential. But if they do, the rest of the NFL should be horrified.
