Better Skills Position Talent

The focus of the opposition’s game-planning begins with trying to slow down Julio Jones when facing the Atlanta Falcons. His presence on the field makes the game easier for all of his teammates, especially for other receiving options in his team’s offense.

It won’t be easy for opposing teams that decide to stack the box against the Falcons considering they have Calvin Ridley and Hayden Hurst alongside Jones. When pairing all three of them with Todd Gurley, the possibilities are intriguing to think about.

Teams will be forced to pay if they choose to go the route of stacking the box often by the receiving threats the team has in its offense. If the opposition adopts a neutral approach when it comes to the box, Gurley can capitalize on his carries.

One thing to watch is how impactful Gurley can be as a receiving threat in 2020. If he recovers some of his previous impact in this area, the Falcons would field a very layered offensive attack that not many teams are properly equipped to stop. The presence of the team’s receivers should help.
