3 reasons Jadeveon Clowney to the Eagles makes perfect sense

Adding Clowney could make the Eagles defense elite again

The Eagles haven’t had a truly elite defensive unit since their Super Bowl year in 2017. Their defense was built on their ferocious defensive front, led by Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham and Chris Long.

Philly has multiple needs on their defense this offseason, but adding a proven pass rusher who can consistently bring pressure off the edge will help in nearly every area on Schwartz’s unit.

Getting consistent pressure will help the weak secondary, linebackers will be able to read plays much easier and it’ll allow Schwartz to sit back in coverage while just rushing four.

Adding Clowney could help with all of this, making this a no-brainer signing for Roseman and the front office this offseason.
