3 reasons Jordan Love to the Packers makes perfect sense

Love has a high ceiling

There isn’t much for debate when it comes to the very top of the 2020 NFL Draft quarterback class. The tone is set by Joe Burrow with Tua Tagovailoa behind him. After that? There is real debate to be had. The consensus favors Justin Herbert, but as far as ceiling goes, Jordan Love’s is considered higher.

When it comes to evaluating Love, what stands out are the impressive physical tools he has and ability to make some big plays that can’t really be taught. The arm strength and unwavering confidence he possesses enables him to drop deep balls in ways that hit his receivers in stride.

Love still needs to improve his ability to make reads and work through his progression, but the final product could be highly impressive. He sometimes telegraphs where he’s going to go with the ball before launching his pass and has struggled with decision making against zone coverage.

The ideal scenario is that Love is able to improve his decision making and be ready to make those reads by the time he’s tasked with being a full-time starter. He’d still need to work through that in real games, so a team with patience to let him work through errors would help as well.
