3 reasons Jordan Love to the Saints makes perfect sense

3. New Orleans Doesn’t Have A Guarantee Long-Term At QB

If the Saints want to be set long-term at the quarterback position, Jordan Love would be one way to make that happen. As previously mentioned, Drew Brees is already considering retirement, and even if he does come back in 2020, he will be more likely to walk away from the game with each passing year.

New Orleans also cannot bank on Teddy Bridgewater sticking around long-term. He is a free agent this offseason and there are plenty of teams that could be interested in signing him with the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers being four of them.

Love would be able to come in and either play immediately or sit behind Brees for a couple of years. The Saints would be wise to strongly consider this option for that reason.
