3 reasons Justin Jefferson makes perfect sense for the Eagles at No. 21

Alshon Jeffery will need to be replaced at some point

The top wide receiver the Eagles have is Alshon Jeffery and it seems they are reaching a point when replacing him will be necessary. Considering how they already have a need to add more talent around him, the need to add talent is urgent.

Let’s not forget, Jeffery was limited to just 10 regular season appearances last season due to injuries. He only recorded 43 receptions, 490 yards, and four touchdowns. That is simply nowhere close to being enough from a leading receiver for a team with aspirations of a deep playoff run.

Adding a receiving threat like Justin Jefferson would help with playing off Jeffery in the short-term while eventually developing into being his replacement. That’s an ideal scenario for the Eagles to maximize their present timeline while building towards the future.
