1. Melvin Gordon Would Be The Final Piece Of The Puzzle

Finally, and most importantly for both Gordon and the Texans, the star running back would be the final piece of the puzzle for Houston.

They have a solid defense, a star quarterback, an elite wide receiver, and are in need of a star running back. Gordon would fill out the offense. Houston was a piece away from knocking off the eventual Super Bowl champion Chiefs and Gordon would have helped them accomplish that task.

Gordon wants to compete and get paid. Houston can offer him that. The Chargers, on the other hand, will not be Super Bowl contenders for awhile.
