For better or worse, Rivers brings an outward level of fearlessness and competitive spirit to the Colts.

“I can say that I gave it everything that I have. I mean every week. And maybe it means an interception on 4th-and-18 when you’re down 10. Because I don’t care that it’s going to say ‘two interceptions.’ I really don’t. I ain’t quitting.”

Six of the Colts’ nine losses last year came by seven points or less. While Rivers could turn some similar games more one-sided with a bunch of interceptions in “never say die” mode, his aggression and overall mentality will be an asset.
