1. The Following Moves Would Be Valuable

Should the Colts sign Rivers, there would be quite a few moves that followed. Jacoby Brissett would likely be traded for assets, which could be as high as a second or third-round draft pick.

In addition to the return Indianapolis would receive for Brissett, there would be an opportunity to bring in quite a bit more talent. Rivers is a well respected player around the NFL. His presence could convince some players to sign with the team in free agency.

Rivers may only be a two-year option, but he would be well worth the money for those two seasons. Indianapolis would be able to compete for a championship and would also groom a young quarterback. This seems like a match made in heaven.
