Learn under Drew Brees before retirement

The impact an opportunity to learn under a great quarterback like Drew Brees should not be understated. Waiting until after his career is over would prevent a prospect from having the ability to experience the process required on a daily basis to be great.

There is real value in allowing a high potential player to go through the daily process that comes with the NFL and see how a starter handles adversity. There are no shortage of examples with Patrick Mahomes being the most recent and Aaron Rodgers also fitting this mold.

A player like Jordan Love has often be considered as having a very high ceiling in terms of potential, but also a low floor. That type of talent is someone that would greatly benefit from being selected by a great team like the Saints while being able to learn under Brees.
