3 reasons Teddy Bridgewater to the Chargers makes perfect sense

Bridgewater would be an ideal face of the franchise

With the Chargers moving to SoFi Stadium in 2020, they need to find a quarterback that can be the face of the franchise. While Rivers did a stellar job representing the organization, Bridgwater would be able to fill the void left by Rivers rather quickly.

Dating back to his time in college, Bridgewater has always been a humble leader in a locker room. Even when he waited in the wings behind Brees, Bridgewater handled everything with dignity and class.

Despite being a first-round pick, Bridgewater’s career has been far from perfect. After being drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2014, Bridgewater would start in just 28 games in four seasons due to tearing his ACL in 2016 — causing him to miss an entire season.

Ever since Bridgewater injured his knee, he’s been working tirelessly to get back to where he once was earlier in his career. Altogether, Bridgewater is a humble, hard-working quarterback that can garner the respect of a locker room. That is exactly what the Chargers could use as they move to a new stadium.
