Aaron Jones Is Used To Getting A Lot Of Carries And Produces

Aaron Jones is one of the best backs in the league and would help a San Francisco offense that had to do running back by committee in 2019. The 49ers had the second highest total running yards last year, but had to do it without a 1,000 yard rusher.

They had three players who ended the year with over 500 rushing yards. This was enough to see San Francisco to the Super Bowl but it might not be sustainable moving forward. The best option for the 49ers would be to have a consistent presence in the backfield.

Pairing Jones with Raheem Mostert would be a nightmare for opposing defenses. Jones toped 1,000 yards last year and the year before he rushed for 5.5 yards per carry.

Jones would be able to be the back that could take a significant amount of carries alongside Mostert and provide a powerful one-two punch. This could provide a level of consistency and confidence that would allow the 49ers to continue to focus on defense and clock management.
