3 Reasons The Colts Should Target Jalen Hurts In The Second Round

A Winner

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

What quarterback in the NFL Draft has won more that Hurts? And not just the amount of games we’re talking about. Hurts has won a championship in Alabama and was a game away in his first and only season at Oklahoma. Wherever he goes, he wins. That’s saying plenty about his football IQ and personality. How many of these players can say they’ve been to not only the CFB Playoff but the National Championship three times in four seasons? Hurts is that good. His winning is what’s needed for any of the teams that select him. So, why not the Colts?

The NFL is different from the NCAA but a winner is a winner no matter what level he plays at. Brissett has played behind Tom Brady but since his departure, he has struggled. The Colts let go of Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck left them hanging. They need a winner. They need someone will a cool and calm demeanor to take hold of the huddle with seconds on the clock and give his teammates a feeling that nothing is impossible. That’s Jalen Hurts all the way.
