3 reasons the Jets signing CB Logan Ryan would be a perfect addition

The majority of free agency signings have already taken place and the 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone. Something that also appears to be coming to an end is Logan Ryan’s free agency as the New York Jets ‘expect’ to sign him to a one-year deal.

According to the Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets have been discussing internally to create cap space to sign Ryan. This was after acquiring former Indianapolis Colts cornerbacks Pierre Desir and Quincy Wilson earlier in the offseason.

The Titans appear content with former LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton to help fill the slot corner role at a much cheaper cost than Ryan. It makes sense to move on from Ryan if Fulton is believed to be capable of providing an immediate impact of that kind.

Ryan is coming off an impressive 2019 campaign for the Titans. In 16 regular-season appearances, he managed to total 113 combined tackles (four for loss), 18 passes defensed, four interceptions, 4.5 sacks, eight QB hits, and four forced fumbles.

With that being said, here are three reasons the Jets signing Logan Ryan would be a perfect addition.
