As the New England Patriots move forward this offseason without Tom Brady, things are going to get very interesting. Bill Belichick has some decisions to make. How does he build the roster without Brady and who does he bring in to replace the team’s longtime superstar quarterback?
Quite frankly, there is no one who can replace Brady. However, there are a few players who could come in and help the team remain competitive.
Names like Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton have made their way to the front of the line of potential Brady replacements. While those guys could make sense, there is another familiar name that would make much more sense.
If the Patriots are looking to remain competitive and have an “easy” transition away from Brady, why not bring back someone they already know? Jacoby Brissett won’t be the starter for the Indianapolis Colts in 2020 after they went out and signed Philip Rivers. Trading for Brissett would make a lot of sense for the Patriots.
