3 reasons the Patriots should take a long look at Jameis Winston

Looking ahead at the upcoming NFL offseason, there could be a lot of turnover at the quarterback position. Among the names that could switch teams are Tom Brady, Philip Rivers, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, and Teddy Bridgewater. Yes, Brady could end up leaving the New England Patriots.

If that does end up happening, Bill Belichick and company will be looking for a new starter. Jarrett Stidham could be an option, but more than likely the Patriots would be searching for a more proven starter.

Winston, also a free agent who could end up leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, might just be the perfect replacement.

In 2019 with the Buccaneers, Winston ended up completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 5,109 yards and 33 touchdowns. Impressive numbers, right? Unfortunately, he also ended up throwing 30 interceptions.

While there is a lot of concern about Winston’s turnover numbers, he still has a ton of talent. Let’s go ahead and take a look at three reasons the Patriots should take a long look at Winston this offseason in Brady leaves town.
