3 reasons the Patriots should take a long look at Jameis Winston

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

1. Bill Belichick Is Exactly What Jameis Winston Needs

Both of the previous points lead us to this one. Bill Belichick is exactly the coach that Jameis Winston needs to take the next step towards his full potential.

The arm talent is there, the numbers are there, and the leadership qualities are there. Winston needs a coach who can help him reach to the top of his game. Belichick has done a great job developing quarterbacks in the past like Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo, and even Jacoby Brissett.

Belichick and Josh McDaniels would offer Winston a perfect scenario. Doing things the “Patriots Way” would help Winston cut down on his turnovers and become one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks. There is always the chance that he would never reach his full potential, but signing with the Patriots is the best possible chance he would have.
