As the New England Patriots come down the stretch in NFL free agency, there are still some glaring questions that Bill Belichick and company need to answer. Among them are, who will the Patriots replace Tom Brady with and what does New England do at linebacker with both Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins leaving town?

Newton was released by the Panthers earlier this offseason and would help keep the Patriots competitive in the AFC. They are by no means going to be a bad football team, especially with Belichick running the show. Giving him a quarterback that has proven himself over the years to be a playmaker and things could get interesting.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three reasons why the Patriots should take a risk on Newton.
