1. The Interceptions Are Not Explainable

When NFL scouts look at young quarterbacks in the NFL Draft, they can find a way to explain a guy who threw double-digit interceptions. Even someone who threw 20 interceptions can be viewed as an elite prospect.

That may be the case for a rookie quarterback, but for a guy who has been in the league for five years and played 72 games those things aren’t explainable. Winston threw 30 interceptions last season. That number is certainly not explainable.

Las Vegas would be taking a major step back by signing Winston. If they decide to make that move, it will be yet another in the long line of massive mistakes.
