2. Derek Carr Is Still A Quality Starting Quarterback
Jon Gruden has been rather vocal about wanting to stick with Derek Carr and build around him. The Raiders should feel the same way as a whole.
Just a few short years ago, Carr was viewed as one of the top up-and-coming young talents in the NFL. Unfortunately, injuries hit and they derailed his career a bit. Despite that, Carr showed promise last season and he deserves a shot to grow with this team.
Carr completed 70.4 percent of his pass attempts for 4,054 yards, 21 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 2019 with the Raiders. Those numbers are very comparable to Brady and he is only 28 years old. Las Vegas should stick with Carr and see if they can turn things around with him under center.
