3 running back targets for the Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft

Before highlighting who the Rams could target, it’s important to note that they don’t possess a first-round pick. Altogether, Los Angeles enters the 2020 NFL Draft with only six draft picks at their disposal, with their first pick coming at No. 52 overall.

Provided that, it still feels like an inevitability that the Rams choose to add a running back through the draft. In that case, Joshua Kelley out of UCLA is an intriguing choice for Los Angeles on day two or three of the draft.

Kelley, who played right down the road from the Rams in college, is someone the team has already met with during the NFL Combine. While at UCLA, Kelley was an every-down back that carried it 454 times for a total of 2,303 yards and 24 touchdowns in his two collegiate seasons.

Aside from his rushing numbers, Kelley didn’t show much as a receiving threat, catching just 38 passes during his time at UCLA. With Henderson being more of a versatile back, Kelley would bring another dimension to the rushing attack with his tough-nosed running style.
